Pumpkin Spice Season!

I know I’m not the only one who’s excited for this I’m sure! But also bummed that I can’t have the Starbucks PSL.. This is my first fall season being vegan, so I’m feeling the sadness for sure!

So within 2 hours of the PSL launching, I already found a way to have this vegan style at Starbucks! lol you could say that I was a little determined…

My favorite way to have it is as an Iced Cappuccino which can be a little hard to order, but you guys can give it a whirl and see how your baristas stack up! Or else, if you’re ever in downtown Portland, hit me up and I’ll let you know which store I work at!

I’ve already had the joy of making this drink for THREE vegan customers who have strolled in hoping to have the PSL. So I’m glad that I’ve been able to share this joy with a few already 🙂

How To Order PSL:

Order a Coffee Frappuccino made with an alternative milk of your choice, add 1 pump of classic, 1 pump of toffee nut, and ask to have Pumpkin Spice topping blended in with it. Tell them to be generous with the PS topping too, because that’s where all of the pumpkin flavor is going to come from.

Hot Latte:

Order a latte made with an alternative milk of your choice, add 2 pumps of classic, and ask to have Pumpkin Spice Topping steamed in with the milk.

Iced Latte:

Order an Iced Cappuccino with 2 pumps of classic, 1 pump of Toffee Nut, your alternative milk choice made with cold foam that has the Pumpkin Spice blended in with it. Now alternative milks don’t foam so it’ll be bubbly but at least that milk will have the pumpkin spice flavor in it.

The toffee nut is added into the iced versions to help bring out the spice notes within the Pumpkin Spice flavor. Hot beverages keep that spice pretty easily though, so that’s why the hot latte doesn’t have the toffee nut pump.

I also plan on purchasing Torani’s Pumpkin Pie Flavor this week so I’ll let you know in my next weekly update on how that turned out! You can purchase Torani online at their website, or else at Cost Plus World Market.

Definitely let me know what you guys think! How does it taste, how did your baristas stack up, what questions did the baristas have about the recipe, etc! Happy PSL Season!
